1. Information We Collect
Depending on your role and how you use the service, AKPA Portal may process:
- Login details such as username, password, role, and session token.
- Member and account details such as AKPA ID, district, sector/meghala, unit, nominee name, mobile number, UPI ID, renewal year, and balance information.
- Transaction and operational records such as dates, reference numbers, amounts, death-list records, help-provided records, and related administrative activity.
- Files or images uploaded by authorized administrators, such as help images and other portal-related attachments.
- Basic app settings stored locally on your device, such as session state, selected portal, last-used section, and theme preference.
2. How We Use Information
We use information processed through AKPA Portal to:
- Authenticate users and manage access based on role.
- Display member records, balances, transactions, reports, and operational modules.
- Support Santhwanam and Day Book workflows, including renewals, member care, financial tracking, and reporting.
- Generate exports such as CSV files and PDF reports requested by authorized users.
- Maintain session continuity and basic user preferences within the app.
- Improve reliability, security, auditability, and troubleshooting of the service.
3. Local Device Storage
The app stores limited information on your device using local storage in order to keep you signed in, remember your selected portal, restore your last-used section, and preserve your theme preference.
The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, or SMS permissions in its current Android build.
4. Data Sharing
AKPA Portal does not sell personal information.
Information may be processed through infrastructure and service providers used to operate the portal, including:
- Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, and content delivery.
- Internal administrative systems used by authorized AKPA operators.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to portal features is role-based, and certain actions are limited to authorized users.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their own credentials and devices.
6. Data Retention
Information is retained for as long as needed to operate the portal, maintain member records, support reporting and audit requirements, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes or enforce policies.
7. Children's Privacy
AKPA Portal is intended for organizational and administrative use. It is not designed for direct use by children.
8. Your Choices
You may contact AKPA regarding account access, correction, or operational questions related to data processed through the portal.
- Logging out of the app ends the active session on that device.
- Administrative users may update or manage certain records within the portal according to their permissions.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised effective date.
